Is mass texting legal?

Yes! If done correctly, sending mass texts is not only legal, but an effective way to reach your audience. However, there are regulations:

● It's illegal to scrape phone numbers online and send to these contacts.

● It's illegal to buy contact lists (even if it were legal, list buying does more harm than good).

How can I send 1000 texts at once?

Can I send mass texts from my phone?

Yes you can - sort of.

You can't send bulk texts from your handset's text message application, but you can send via our app. Find ClickSend on Google Play or Apple's App Store.

Can I send bulk SMS from my own number?

Yes - but it's not recommended. This is because all replies will be sent back to your mobile phone, rather than in your account. This means that your message history will be incomplete and you'll need to action any opt-out requests.

 

For ease of use, you may want to consider sending from a shared or dedicated number, so message history is all in one place.
